FS. The politics suggest I should hate this state, but it's been trending to the left in recent years and it has a beautiful ocean. Not to mention, my friend GAworth lives there.

Perhaps this series won't be an anti-South circlejerk after all. Freedom State, if only to protest the large group of people on the left automatically voting 'HS' for every Southern State.

If this forum votes FS for Georgia while voting HS for Florida, then that should put to rest the notion that we judge places only by politics.  Actually, that notion should already have been put to rest when Alaska was overwhelmingly voted FS.

Compared to it's neighbors, FS.  I'd never want to live in Atlanta again, but it was certainly better than the other places I lived in the south (Panama City and Biloxi).

I plan to vote HS on almost all southern states, but primarily because of weather, not politics.

He lives in Gainesville now, no?

As for the Southern thing, I intend to vote FF on several that we haven't gotten to yet.

There are several Southern states I will be voting FS for.  None of them have happened to come up yet.

HS primarily because of the particularly metastatically cancerous outsize influence of Atlanta's exurban sprawl- an influence that, as I believe I've mentioned here once or twice before, has led to Georgia basically declaring war on Tennessee in order to get at their water, something that shouldn't be happening in the moist East.

None.  I knew what I was getting into.  Just FYI, never live in a place where rednecks (and to a slightly lesser extent, college kids) go on vacation.
