I will strongly advise President Duke to repeal this legislation, since it will be useless because the fired unemployed are already covered by Nappy's CSSRA.

Not for nothing, but that bill was far more then just Nappy's. I wouldn't doubt that the section in question may have orginated from one of his amendments though. I cannot remember offhand, since it was over two years back.

Also don't you mean "veto", instead of "repeal"?

Sorry, I thought he was the Sponsor, anyways. Exactly, I meant veto =P

Nay

Having said that, superique raises an interesting point- is this law redundant?

It sounds like it is. Nixcome solves this problem. I still think people should be allowed to collect unemployment if they are fired if they have not committed a crime, but even then, we just outlawed at-will employment so companies now need reasons to fire people, and a large portion of those reasons will be because of theft, etc.

I don't think this bill is even necessary anymore.

Nixcome is not the only the reason why this law is redundant, the CSSRA is also one of the reasons that makes me doubtful about the reason we should have this legislation. Can you tell me why do we need that, after having already the Nixcome and the CSSRA signed?

I am rescinding my vote for the time being. I had the wrong post window open for that so it is on the wrong bill. I want to check over something before I vote on this.

So abstain for now
