They hated Kerry too. Lot of good that did them. And they even had an alternative in Dean-- who knows if that kind of candidate will emerge in 2008.
Basically, the DU and Dkos and Atrios people all bitch, 24/7, about everything. "Repugs" and "DINOs" (which by their definition is actually every elected Democrat save a few).
The broader base of the DNC loves Hillary.

no, Kerry was not hated on DU, only the die hard Deaniacs did. 200+ post Kerry vs. Dean flame wars were very common.
The hated candidate was Lieberman. We all saw how far he got.

The average DU poster must have an IQ of 70.

I like the people who think the government censoring breasts from television is a sign of jackbooted fascism but having total government authority over your retirement funds is an example of trustworthy patron-state. It's amusing how people get all frothy-mouthed about things that don't matter much but won't raise a finger to defend a substantive example of personal privacy.

Total government authority over your retirement funds? I didn't know that the government controlled 401Ks, 403Bs, SEPs, IRAs and Roth IRAs. When did this happen?
I'm guessing you were referring to Social Security. People like that Social Security is a guaranteed payment that requires no hassle and no maintenance. The system has worked very well for the last 65 years. Why change it?

On the GOP side, for 2016, look out for Gov. Phill Kline (KS), Gov. Ralph Reed (GA), Gov. JD Hayworth (AZ), Sen. David Vitter (LA), among others.

Right back at you! I'll take my tits on TV and my welfare state, thanks. Works fine in Sweden.
Btw, I'm just back from a visa run to Laos - the place was stuffed to the gills with lovely Swedish youths on vacation. Man are those people pampered! They're so happy, prosperous, and well adjusted they're almost like Eloi.

Every member of DU will vote for Hillary if/when she wins the nomination, so let's ignore everything they say for now. Bob's 70 figure is too generous.

anything below 70 is considered retarded, so people with IQs below 70 wouldn't be able to use the internet.
And there actually are some very rational and reasonable people there, examples being Zynx and dsc. But they often are tough to dig out in your typical thread.

It's got a lot of rational people, but one person got mad at me for fiinding that some probability of exit polls being a certain way was something like 1 in 100 million instead of the 1 in 1 billion they found.

No, I think almost all their opinions are dumb. Disliking Hillary is one of their few smart opinions, though I'm sure they dislike her for the wrong reasons, that she's not radical enough.
