Very nice maps, thank you!

It is possible to observe that the elections of 1960 and 1976 were not very different, but the election of 1976 was more different of a modern election than the election of 1960 was.


I only make a suggestion: using four different colors makes the maps easier to observe.

It would be easier to observe if we use red for the counties that voted for the two democratic candidates, blue for the counties that votes for the two republican candidates, yellow for the counties that swinged to one direction and green for the counties that swinged to the other direction.

1964 and 1972

A Goldwater 64 X McGovern 72 map (or a Johnson 64 X Nixon 72) would be almost the 2000 map.
