Well, yes, it does - Bloomington.  Though that's only marginally nice, and the rest is awful, so HS.

I need to see the hood that my great grandparents' grew up in, in Jackson County, before rendering final judgment. The road from Chicago to Indianapolis, and I-40 east west across the state, and Indianapolis itself, I found to be an exercise in the  monochromatic, the boring, and the enervating.  Watching the crowd at the Indianapolis Speedway in college was however an interesting exercise in sociology and group interaction.

Lean FS (Rustbelt solidarity + heartland rock), though Indianapolis is probably among the worst major metros outside the south.

Its pretty boring and bland. But it does have less chaos than Illinois in a lot of respects. Barely Lean Freedom State.

HS. Indianapolis is rather sprawly, it seems to have embraced conservatism, and there aren't a lot of interesting places.

Its like Illinois without the positives of Chicago. HS and another one that is worse than Florida.

Arguably the least interesting state (says the guy from Nebraska).  It's most famous  "thing" hasn't been important for 30 years, but they keep doing it.  Like half the shows at Vegas or all the shows and Branson.  Plus Gary.  Plus Santa Claus.  I think the best thing it has going for it is that it doesn't take long to cross on a road trip and that after (or before) the giant speed trap that is Ohio, you can actually stretch the legs of your car a bit.

Not as HS as it's Klan days (and I still don't quite understand why it became such a focal point for Klanning in the 20s), but still voted HS, if there was an option for Bland State (BS) I would have voted that.

Everything I've ever seen about the Klan in the 20s, says the Klan reached their greatest influence and membership in Indiana.

Who wants to bet that Iowa gets higher approvals than Indiana because it voted for Obama?

Indiana voted for Obama. Actually I may just change my vote to FS because it was awesome when Obama won Indiana despite the Serious People saying it was impossible for the past few months.

Iowa is the future birthplace of James Tiberius Kirk.  Game. Set. And match.
