I'm to the left of the Democrats on just about everything right now.

This, but also I'm opposed to the MSNBC/Democratic pundits being so anti-Mormon (or perhaps I'm just opposed to Lawrence O'Donnell). I'm happy with leftism, but the anti-Mormon stuff just grinds my gears.

Have to agree with this even though I'm not Mormon. I've seen quite a few latte liberal types vow to never vote Mormon.

Just look up "Lawrence O'Donnell Mormon" on youtube. He seriously hates all Mormons. Even Pat Buchanan is all "whoa you're going too far" in one of the videos.

Thankfully on MSNBC, there's also Melissa Harris-Perry, who is probably the nicest ex-Mormon I've ever seen.

Yeah, but she hates teachers, so f**k her.

She's one of their strongest allies in the television network and she speaks a lot about the education problem in America because of a lot of bad policies, and she is an educator herself, so I don't know where you are coming from.

If we are talking about the Dems, possibly gun control, and that many of them aren't progressive enough on top tax rates, unions, and corporate welfare I suppose. Even the gun control is only slight as I do support background checks.

As for the pubs, almost everything at this point. Sad

Democrats:

Not liberal enough on social issues.

Not liberal enough on economic issues

I oppose protectionism.

That's about it.

I fit better into Green and/or Justice.

No, she was one of the biggest hand-wringers during the CTU strike. You either support the teachers or you don't. It's not hard. Only cowards don't take sides.

On most issues, I'd say the Democratic Party should be pulled to the left by varying degrees depending on the issue. Affirmative action is where I categorically disagree with my party and many on the left. I believe race-based affirmative action is wrong and should be entirely stuck down by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional.
