Some of the votes that people have cast lately (see D2, D3) are absolutely nutty.  People around here are either seriously misinformed, unusually crazy, or on some very potent narcotics.

Serious, because I know how important winning is to me and I'd hate to be on the losing end of a joke vote election.  Treat others as you would wish to be treated.

Fantasy elections are too serious to be taken seriously.

Serious.  The thought of a joke candidate winning may be funny, but then I realize that he'll be in that office for four months and decide against it.

Other than my PD/Migrendel vote which obviously gets redistributed to sane preferences every time, I will always try to vote seriously.

Serious, though my last Presidential ballot was intended to go overboard with this ridiculous thing of writing in like 100 candidates or so.

Joke votes that don't change the actual outcome are fine, and in fact, I encourage them because they're fun to read. Smiley

Joke votes that put someone in office who really shouldn't be there, however, are not so good.

Serious in their final outcomes, my first few preferences are usually jokes though.

Your vote for PBrunsel/Keystone Phil of the "Failure Redux" Party made me laugh out loud. Cheesy

Usually serious, but there are always good choices available, especially in some of the smaller local races, and those votes become less serious.

Are you now going to write a bill providing free lobotomies to District 3 citizens only?

Serious - in the past, I was guilty of avatar voting (i.e. Democrat) but now I vote for the candidate, whose views are closer to my own

However, since the implosion of the AFDNC, I have joined the Farmer-Labor Party, whose candidates I will now hope to endorse
