I thought Truman would be a pretty good fit for you.

Truman without hesitation. Kennedy's tenure was completely unremarkable in every way.

Kennedy was not a good president. Truman was. Not that difficult.

I am honestly unsure of which was better, and have many concerns about them both.

Very difficult choice indeed.  They're both my favorite post-war US Presidents.

Kennedy prevented WWIII, while Truman dropped an a-bomb on Japan. Hmm.

Not to say Truman wasn't a good President, I respect him, but I view him as just okay. I'm a Kennedy fanboy, though. So him.

The bomb prevented hundreds of thousands of Allied deaths and millions of Japanese deaths. Truman also prevented WWIII by firing MacArthur.

The only reason Kennedy had an opportunity to prevent WW3 was because he almost started WW3 in the first place!

This.

Truman was much more accomplished and successful during his time as president--I'll admit, unfairly in comparison as he had much more time to do so than Kennedy--and was as well a much better person.
