I'd be for it if it turns Tennessee into the next Virginia.

St. Louis is the most logical choice for new capital of the United States.

A slightly less horrible suggestion that Huckabee's last suggestion (rounding up people with HIV and putting them in quarantine camps).

St. Louis is the most logical choice for new capital of the United States.

The problem is that St. Louis is even more miserable than Washington.

The problem is that St. Louis is even more miserable than Washington.

If that were the criterion by which a prospective capital city were judged, a number of states would be due for a new capital (and some capitals would have to be moved out of state...)

St. Louis' geographic center-ness is what makes it a logical capital for the country. It's either St. Louis or Kansas City...

A somebody who lives reasonable driving distance from both, I can assure you that St Louis is much better than Nashville. To be honest, just about anywhere is better than Nashville.

Amazing that he doesn't know the difference between "capitol" and "capital."

Ok, now I see. He wants a government of just old white people who like country music. The Real America.

No, that's the last thing this place needs. Send them to Barrow or Nome or something like that, where the weather might have a positive effect.

EDIT: Or the Amundsen-Scott Base. Would be the first really serious commitment any country has made to Antarctica.

Huckabee's plan for fixing Washington: move all the people causing the problems to Nashville. Hmmm.

That sounds super practical for those trips Congress makes back to the capital after the summer session in August.

I hear it's a leading capitol choice for the new Confederate States of America they're working on down there.

I don't know.  People in St. Louis might smile occasionally.

Cleveland has better music at least.

But if we're taking that approach, why not move the capitol to Detroit? It could use the stimulus.

Doesn't the Antarctic Treaty ban dumping waste there?

Both Cleveland and Detroit are vulnerable to a Canadian invasion.

Nashville is a nice town. Why does Huckabee want to ruin it by moving a bunch of limp[Inks]ed assholes into it?

Congress should meet in a different congressional district selected at random every 6 months.  The headquarters for the executive branches should be placed about the country.  The President could continue to live in the White House, Washington National Park, Maryland.

And the Pentagon can drive around in the RV from "Stripes".

Nashville seems a little too fancy, maybe move it to Mayberry or Hooterville, or Kornfield Kounty

If Huck wants to lead the way and take the other socons with him away from the center of government and into some random city a thousand miles away...

Between the two cities named after heroes of the Revolutionary War, I think I'd rather our nation sticks with George Washington over Francis Nash.

We should create an autonomous district at the center of a North-South cultural division of America for our nation's capital.
