I just ate. Absolutely delicious. The turkey was phenomenal, the biscuits were perfect, the potatoes were out of this world, what can I say? Time for the food coma to set in.

Our Thanksgiving is late this year.  The family has been tired and we all just kind of slept in today.  But the turkey is a beauty.  Just waiting for the stupid corn pudding to finish baking.

Superb. The sweet potato with pecan glaze on top and the marshmellow fruit salad were my favorites. The turkey was a bit dry, but the 4,000 cookies, pies, and brownies made up for it.

Okay/Average - I like very few of the foods my relatives prepare for the gathering and end up filling my plate with side dishes I never go out of my way to otherwise have. Generally, holiday meals are the worst because other people get to decide what there will be, when, and where. That is not to say, however, that what I ate today wasn't palatable.

Good, and then the half dozen flavors of pies my aunt made (including a pumpkin log) pushed it into excellant. Smiley

'twas good.  Didn't have to go to work.  It didn't rain.  I played soccer with my son.  There were no arguments in the family.  No blood was spilled.  No glass was broken.  As a bonus, there was much food, red wine, white wine, and cognac.  All in all a very good day.

Well the handiwork of the f****ts, well one of them (I was too busy pounding out some over-due legal work), turned out to be a great success - except that we have about 9 pounds of turkey left. Dan read directions about how to do it, and then just did it. Good job Dan! I would take break for well, some holiday cheer, via a bong, and pour him a glass of wine from time to time, as my contribution. I also helped put stuff away after. Dan is putting stuff in the dishwasher now. And then on to an adult movie to get in the mood. Life is beautiful.

Of course there wouldn't be any mention of pumpkin pie. Thread boycott.

Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and blackberry tarts for dessert. Just me and my immediate family at a nice restaurant. No cooking. No washing dishes. No family drama.

Had four grilled hamburgers from Braum's. With cheese and triple bacon. You have to spend a little extra for the bacon, but what the hell, my dad was paying.

Fantastic -the turkey was much better than in previous years, principally because we cooked the stuffing separately, and because we refrigerated the turkey instead of freezing it.

Did any of you say prayers at your family gathering like I usually do, or did someone else in your family did it?

Absolutely great. My aunt's coleslaw, my cousin's cranberry sauce, and my other cousin's green beans especially are phenomenal, and we had a really good pumpkin pie for dessert.

Very mediocre.  They did have turkey at our party, but some Thai prof had bought it and just had it cooked at a Thai restaurant, so it came out tasting rather like a duck (which they normally cook).
