Rachel Maddow wins big. She has better name notoriety and gets the vote out from being the first openly gay and female Democratic nominee for President. Levin still does terribly in his home states of Pennsylvania and Virginia, Maddow wins in a landslide in Massachusetts, but Maddow loses most of the South still for her staunch and strong liberal views and being from the New England area.
Maddow picks Democratic Governor Mike Michaud of Maine to balance the gender part of the ticket along with being a relatively moderate LGBT Democrat.
Levin decides to pick Republican Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri to continue the expected GOP tradition to keep all-male, ultra conservative candidates on the ticket and to have a lock on carrying Missouri.
