Currently doing some new UK basemaps for the current constituencies. Decided to go for clear and functional ones at a regional level. All will be uploaded here as soon as finished: feel free to use them without having to ask for permission or any such nonsense.

The East of England:

(East Anglia is a better name by far, but only refers to the north of the region)

Except for Penge* Wink

*Pathetic pedantry of course, but I was born there, so..

Additionally, the map does not include Thamesmead, because that's now with Erith in what is pretty clear 'outer' (which these days really means 'middle') constituency.

It really is most vexing. Transfer Goole to Donny North or Selby & Whateversky at the next boundary review and be done with it.

In the last boundary review, which was closed down before final proposals were produced, the Boundary Commission for England avoided crossing any regional boundaries. This is a policy of the Commission rather than a statutory requirement.

It will be interesting to see if the Commission adopts the same policy for the next review, due to take place during the next Parliament under current law.
