Local leaders in Oklahoma City are saying it is "very unlikely" the Satanists will get their wish. Especially when there's an actual bill in the Oklahoma legislature that would allow the use of "Merry Christmas" in our government-funded institutions such as public schools and courthouses. The bill has broad bi-partisan support.
1. A refusal gives grounds for a lawsuit, and precedent will side with the court having to force their request to be granted or with having the ten commandments removed. It's the whole point of this maneuver.
2. The "Merry Christmas" bill is worthless pandering - it's already legal for people to say Merry Christmas in those institutions.
