Brian Schweitzer with a progressive woman or African-American or Latino running mate. I think Schweitzer would carry all of Obama's 2012 states and North Carolina. He'd also put the Republicans on the defensive with white rural voters. I don't think Schweitzer would win a majority of these voters, but he'd make leaps and bounds of improvements over Obama. I also think he'd have a coattail effect in House races.

This.  Jeff Merkley would also be great.

Ah, I forgot about Schweitzer! Along with Brown and Warren, my favorite Democrats. I'd love to see Schweitzer run.

Clinton and it's not even close.  She's not perfect on issues, but I think she would be an effective President.  I'm honestly unimpressed with the entire crop of rumored 2016 Democratic candidates aside from Clinton.

What makes you think that she would be an effective President?

I think she has some unique qualities.  Gravitas, experience, distrust of the media and Republicans, the earned respect of the country for the Clintons and a brilliant mind for policy.  And she's just a terrific person.  The only major worry for me is the tendency of the Clintons to hire people like Dick Morris and Mark Penn.

I do not have a dream candidate, having no knowledge of anybody in politics to whom I look up at with great admiration. It is not a matter of ideological purity, rather one of overarching goals in the abstract and core values never seeming to match up well.

I would love to see Sherrod Brown make a Presidential run, but Sanders I would enthusiastically endorse.

Ron Wyden is mine or Keith Ellison

See username. Tongue

But seriously, there are only a small number of feasible candidates that I like at all - Sanders, Warren, Dean and Biden. Undecided on Schweitzer and O'Malley.
