I could definitely see myself voting for either Chris Christie or Jon Huntsman and possibly Scott Brown, John Thune, John Hoeven, Susana Martinez or Brian Sandoval if the Democrats nominate an especially weak candidate.

Jon Huntsman. He's likable, was willing to serve as an ambassador for Bill Clinton and Obama, and is socially liberal enough to support same-sex marriage. Chris Christie's charisma isn't working on me, and I see almost no appeal in any other republican who will possibly run.

I don't align with either party, but I'll choose Republicans:

Scott Brown, Andrew Cuomo, Jon Huntsman, Rob Portman, Condoleezza Rice and Brian Sandoval.

Any Republican President will just be a rubber stamp for whatever right-wing legislation their teabag congress passes. I wouldn't vote for any of them.

Basically this as well.

Schweitzer, Gillibrand, and Warner. Also Hickenlooper and Manchin are in my top 20, but the other three are in my top 10.

Scott Brown, Jeb Bush, Jon Huntsman Jr, or Susana Martinez are all reasonably acceptable to me -at least I wouldn't stay up at night worrying about the future of this country if any of them became my President.

Schweitzer.

And I would easily vote for him over the likes of Cruz, Paul, Pence, Huckabee, Thune, or Walker.

I am surprised at the number of Democrats who included Rand Paul.

Is it because you think his reserved foreign policy makes up for his domestic shortcomings?

Lisa Murkowski is by far my favorite Republican.

Cuomo and Warner for sure. Potentially Biden, just because he's a seasoned long-term politician and probably the most moderate voice within the Obama admin. Unlikely, but I'd probably vote for him over a Tea Partier.

Clinton and Cuomo, only in the event of a total libertard takeover of the GOP.

Jon Huntsman and quite possibly Scott Brown depending on how he behaved himself.

I don't think the GOP could mess up bad enough for me to vote for a Democrat.

Huntsman has a lot of great qualities, and I guess I wouldn't mind too much if he was elected President, but ultimately he's too fiscally conservative for me to vote for him. Can't consider any of the other Republicans.

Ok, I can understand the first four, but Perry? Over Ryan, Clinton, Jindal and Paul? He's George W. Bush 2.0. He couldn't even remember the third agency he wanted to get rid of.

I chalk it up to an unfortunate mixture things that really worked against Perry. Up against Hillary, the Republicans need to nominate someone with gravitas. Perry actually has "presence." I know it's shallow, but it matters subconsciously to a lot of voters. And I'm not gonna support someone who just can't win by virtue of who they are. Neither of Jindal or Paul will ever be president.

Ah, I get it. I agree, Paul and Jindal (and Ryan) have no gravitas. Perry can speak with authority, has strong conservative credentials and would be good to go if he had a brain transplant.

I'd consider Cuomo and maybe Hillary or Warner if the Republican was bad enough and the Republicans were sure to hold part of Congress.

If the Democrats somehow nominated Dan Lipinski, Bart Stupak, or someone of the sort and the Republicans nominated a nut, Rand Paul, or John Huntsman, I'd probably vote for the Dem.
