This is going to be my final one before the new year

2008

Howard Dean/Evan Bayh vs Mike Huckabee/Rudy Giuliani

After a long brokered convention, the democrats compromised choosing Former Governor Howard Dean.
Howard Dean chooses Indiana Senator Evan Bayh as his running mate.

Mike Huckabee wins the GOP nomination in late April edging out Bill Frist and John McCain. He then chooses Mayor Rudy Guliani as his running mate.

In the middle of the vice presidential debate, Rudy Giuliani dies of a heart attack. Mike Huckabee then chooses Mitt Romney as the new running mate.

The economic crisis happens as usual. With maps please( not required)

That's probably the most accurate map, although there is no way that Mike Huckbee would carry New Hampshire, as most voters in the state don't take too kindly to extreme social conservatism.
