Got some interesting results playing as Romney.

Former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) / Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL): 379 Electoral Votes
President Barack Obama (D-IL) / Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE): 159 Electoral Votes

I didn't even campaign in either Delaware or New York, but managed to win them somehow.
Delaware, I could see under really good circumstances, but around the same time as winning Connecticut, Nwe Jersey, and Illinois, and definitely not before Maine, New Mexico, Washington, or Oregon. How did you manage to win New York of all states, though?
For some reason when I try to play this game, I can go through election night but whenever I click "Skip to Final Results" the final results screen never pulls up.  This is annoying because I can never see the national popular vote totals nor any of the other information regarding outcomes in specific states.

Anyone else having this problem?
It happens sometimes. What browser are you using?

Chrome.  I can even get the app to run on IE

Bush/Danforth on hard. Carried Florida decisively only to lose NH, and thus the election, by less than .1 of one percent.

Played as Humphrey on Easy; actually pretty happy with the results (easy mode isn't as easy as one would think). New Hampshire took about forever to call.

Ran as Al Gore with Bob Graham as my running mate. Managed to win Florida, but did worse than real-life Gore in the West and Midwest, and narrowly lost the election.

Governor George W. Bush (R-TX) / Former Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney (R-WY): 276 Electoral Votes
Vice President Al Gore (D-TN) / Senator Bob Graham (D-FL): 262 Electoral Votes

The 2000 election seems to be quite difficult, even on lower difficulties.

I've won as Bush both times I tried, but I failed as Gore.

United States presidential election, 2000

Vice President Al Gore (D-TN) / Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) - 328 Electoral Votes; 52,297,584 PV (48.9%)
Governor George W. Bush (R-TX) / Former SecDef Dick Cheney (R-WY); 210 Electoral Votes; 51,273,692 PV (47.9)
Activist Ralph Nader (G-DC) / Activist Winona LaDuke (G-MN); 0 Electoral Votes; 3,063,231 PV (2.9%)
Activist Pat Buchanan (R-VA) / Activist Ezola Foster (R-CA); 0 Electoral Votes; 309,534 PV (0.3%)

Closest States:
Tennessee - Gore by 10,383 (0.50%)
Missouri - Bush by 11,613 (0.52%)
Florida - Gore by 98,194 (1.37%)
New Mexico - Gore by 8,556 (1.41%)
New Hampshire - Gore by 9,039 (1.64%)

Despite the closeness of the results in several states, Gore's winning of the election was never in question due to his performance in the state of Ohio.  Gore carried the Buckeye State with 89,365 votes (1.90%) thanks in part to a strong, last-minute campaign push and perfectly-executed GOTV operation.

Tried 2000 on normal again. I swear, it's easier to win as Bush than it is as Gore. I picked John Danforth as my VP, and I was more conservative than my playthrough as Bush/Powell. However, I did not veer somewhat into anti-Clinton territory like last time. I won the same amount of EVs, 301, but I won different states. I was weaker in the Midwest but stronger in the West. I won Florida by a margin of 1.2%, and I'd win even without it, so again, no Supreme Court case for me.

2000 Election Results: Governor Bush Defeats Vice President Al Gore! Republicans Retain Senate, 53-47. Republicans Retain House 224-210.

Governor George W. Bush (R - TX)/Fmr. Senator John Danforth (R - MO): 301 EVs
Vice President Al Gore (D - TN)/Senator Evan Bayh (D - IN): 237 EVs

The Senate and House results I posted are alternate history. Just some flavoring to go with the alternate results.

✓ George W. Bush / John Danforth 271 EV 47.4% PV

Al Gore / Joe Lieberman 267 EV 49.5% PV

Ralph Nader 2.6% PV

Pat Buchanan 0.4% PV

The final count came down to Al Gore's home state of Tennessee and John Danforth's home state of Missouri, with Florida being close but not razor-thin.

I just ran on a moderately independent platform taking a few independent ideas on private school vouchers for low-income families and the lockbox for Medicaid. I usually chose to run as my own man and run a positive, optimistic campaign. All I had to connect with Clinton on was the budget..

Maybe when I play as Gore I am being too liberal? Could explain why I only win as Bush.

Both Virginia and WV were very close. It came down to like .1 or .2%

So they added a 1976 campaign. It's good if you're Carter, bad if you're Ford. That's not much of a surprise. I played a game as Carter with Scoop Jackson as my VP. I was very moderate, more moderate than real Carter even. I only was really liberal with unions, and that was to secure the left vote as I wanted to be moderate there too. It worked out in the end, as I went from the 297 OTL EVs to 368, albeit the popular margins were still slim in many places. The only state I did worse in was Pennsylvania.

2016 Presidential Election - Carter Edges Out Ford in PV, Wins EV Landslide! Wins on Moderate Platform!

Fmr. Governor Jimmy Carter (D - GA)/Senator Scoop Jackson (D - WA): 368 EVs
President Gerald Ford (R - MI)/Senator Bob Dole (R - TX): 170 EVs
