George W. Bush (R-TX)/John Danforth (R-MO) - 352 EV

Al Gore (D-TN)/Joe Lieberman (D-CT) - 186 EV

Played as Bush, went for the non-offensive moderate answers and heavily campaigned in the Midwest. It certainly paid off.

Election Day, 2000. Governor Bush Defeats Gore, Gains Over 300 EVs! Regains Midwest for GOP.

Governor George W. Bush (R- TX)/Fmr. General Collin Powell (R - VA): 301 EVs
Vice President Albert Gore (D - TN)/Senator Joe Lieberman (D - CT): 237 EVs
Activist Ralph Nader (G - CT)/Winona DaLuke (D - MN): 0 EVs

The site refuses to show me the final result breakdown by state, so sadly I cannot give PV count. I ran with Powell as my VP rather than Cheney, and I also alternated between moderate and conservative answers. I never picked an obviously left-wing option, and I focused my campaign visits exclusively in the Midwest. (MI, WI, IA, OH, and PA were the only states I visited when asked to pick a state.) My only two mistakes were being a little too harsh against the Clintons and being willing to open up oil reserves to supply people with extra heating. In my focus on the Midwest, I apparently lost TN to Gore. It was worth gaining three extra states and winning Florida (to my knowledge) without having to go to the Supreme Court over a recount.

They should have added 2004 instead as the issues were a lot better

I actually saw 2000 as pretty fun. It's my new favorite campaign to run on Normal. I wish that you could run against non-default opponents, though.

It was better then I thought but 2004 had far better issues

I played as George Wallace, and campaigned primarily in the border states. Apparently, I drew enough Humphrey voters to throw Maryland to Nixon.

I played as Obama, made Hillary Clinton my running mate, and deliberately lost by campaigning exclusively in heavily Democratic states and giving the most right-wing answers possible to every question.

Former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) / Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI): 511 Electoral Votes
President Barack Obama (D-IL) / Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D-NY): 27 Electoral Votes

I was excited to see that they added one for 2000.  I played as Bush/Danforth on Easy and got this:

Gov. George W. Bush (R-TX)/Fmr. Sen. John Danforth (R-MO): 352 EVs
Vice Pres. Al Gore (D-TN)/Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT): 186 EVs
What's interesting is not only that I got Minnesota, but Nader and Gore both beat me in DC.

Played as Humphrey in normal mode; the election was deadlocked and I think I would have done better if I had chosen to attack Nixon on his scandal during the last days of the campaign.

Got some interesting results playing as Romney.

Former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) / Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL): 379 Electoral Votes
President Barack Obama (D-IL) / Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE): 159 Electoral Votes

I didn't even campaign in either Delaware or New York, but managed to win them somehow.

For some reason when I try to play this game, I can go through election night but whenever I click "Skip to Final Results" the final results screen never pulls up.  This is annoying because I can never see the national popular vote totals nor any of the other information regarding outcomes in specific states.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yep, depends what computer I'm on, it doesn't work on my Laptop or Tablet, but on the computers in my schools computer lab it works just fine.

Delaware, I could see under really good circumstances, but around the same time as winning Connecticut, Nwe Jersey, and Illinois, and definitely not before Maine, New Mexico, Washington, or Oregon. How did you manage to win New York of all states, though?
