Obviously we don't want to clog up the "Post random maps here" thread. I also had the idea of maybe having a one-post timeline challenge based on the results of our game. If anybody wants to try that, go for it. Be creative. I'm going to try writing one tomorrow.

Congrats! The webmaster still hasn't e-mailed me back about whether any new election years will be added.

Congrats! The webmaster still hasn't e-mailed me back about whether any new election years will be added.

If we could get '92...I would die...

I would love '92 with all 3 options, 2000, 1980, and 1912.

2012: Sage Edition

Basically run as Obama and pick the sagest answers possible. Kind of like True Leftism, but with a lot of edginess, moralism, and disdain for Islam.

Why would Obama have disdain for his own religion?

Someone else should try emailing the admin of that site about new election years; I tried weeks ago and they haven't replied. Maybe the inbox is just rarely checked or maybe they forgot to reply.

That is damn impressive. Congratulations. My strategy as Humphrey is to always go for the midwest; if a midwest option isn't available either go south or go to California.

I've recently gotten better at Obama, by realizing that I should just ignore what James Carville says.

Hahaha, yeah this.

Granted, I play the 80 question game every single time, but I've never been able to win as Bryan much less get a landslide victory of that magnitude.  Kudos sir, I am in utter awe.

I rarely play 80 questions. Too many chances to screw up lol

Interesting that you won Vermont, I usually only win it in a 400+ landslide. I rarely choose Kennedy though.

The server for americanhistoryusa.com is currently down!

Maybe that means that another election game is being added? Cheesy

Or maybe I'm being way too optimistic about a 503 Service Unavailable message.

I feel kind of responsible. I posted the game on Tumblr a few weeks ago and it got reblogged by a popular political tumblr and drove a ton of traffic there.

Nice to get confirmation that he checks the e-mail address I'd sent about new election games. Disappointed that this means he ignored it.

I quit playing it some of the states were way too liberal or conservative, and it was also skewed toward Bryan in 1896 and Obama in 2012.

I'm sure that was simply the way you played; I had quite the opposite problem myself. Also: I got my hopes up when you bumped this thread that the game was back. Sad

Okay guys, so I sent the web admin enough emails that he updated the page.

He is now saying that the game will be back up at the end of June, hopefully.

You can read his updated statement here:
http://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/

Sorry for bumping the thread; I know some of you will see it bumped and think the game is back.
