despite them losing reelection, does anyone here think that Paul Findlay and Charles Percy were maybe given the benefit of the doubt for their views on Israel, since they were otherwise moderate on other issues.

If someone like Jim DeMint or Michele Bachmann had the same views, they would be painted as nazi sympathizers.
