Wow... Last time I looked, voting among all the parties had been pretty close. The right really shows up in force for this thing. Didn't you conservatives like my British series?

I think as someone else explained, the British Tories are far more toxic compared to the CDU. Although turnout is also a factor I imagine.

Looks like we're either in for a CDU-CSU coalition or maybe a CDU-SPD one.  It'll have to depend on Kohl's mood.  Or the SPD's.

Is the right-wing of this forum using cloning or something?  How is it growing this quickly?

The CDU voters are budding.

I know.  Which is why I'm almost tempted to dock it a few votes (though I won't).

Turnout never was this high for any of the parties in my series.

The problem is, how is it that the CDU is doing so much better now than at the beginning, even though the SPD is currently far more moderate than under Schumacher and even Ollenhauer?  One would think that that would take away the centrist votes from the CDU that voted Labour in the British tl.

Regarding the CSU, will it have any leaders who, in real life, would have been members of the CDU, or will you keep it under Bavarian control?

Oh definitely the first.  Heiner Geißler has joined it in this tl, and he's definitely a possible successor to Strauß.  Roland Koch is also a possibility later on.
