Happy birthday, BRTD?

FWIW, I am actually not a 30something, and am in fact closer to being a 20something than a 30something (for the next six months at least.)

How do you figure?

There is no "something" after 30, and for six months I am closer to 29 (20something) than 31 (30something).

30 was far, far easier for me than 25.... I kind of like 30.

I found 25 and 30 to be normal birthdays.  27 was rough, though.  Very hard.

I don't mean to get all philosophical on you or anything, but zero is still something.

Better question: Why does it matter?

It's not "Thirty Zero" though. Just "Thirty" no "something".

Does it matter? Not really. Not like that age stops people from playing video games or going to shows after all, or living in cool neighborhoods. I know that my hot neighbor turns 30 in four months too.

It's not "Thirty Zero" though. Just "Thirty" no "something".

It's conceptually present. And people who use words like 'twentysomething' and 'thirtysomething'--most people in general, really--in my experience don't really care about trying to suss out the precise morphological structures of those words and align them with other, similarly-structured words in some sort of sub-Borgesian categorization exercise.

Good attitude! Again, happy birthday.
