Well, we've known this since November...

But it's still a bit funny to see everyone here in the States so gaga about Yushchenko and then the first thing he does is withdraw troops from Iraq.


At least they stuck around till the elections, and that's what counts.

This doesn't bother me much.  I'd prefer a democracy whose policies I can peacefully disagree with than a Russian puppet who puts a meager 1,500 footsoldiers in only the safest parts of Iraq.  Not to belittle their contribution or anything, but really.

Sort of sad that in this bitterly contentest election the only thing the two candidates agreed on was that Iraq was a mistake.
