Do you think NJ's poor economy will hurt Christie in 2016 will it turn around in time?

Let's see if it gets any better by 2015.

The bridge scandal should be greater trouble - if only The Media would actually cover it.

I can sense the first cracks starting to appear in the Chris Christie 2016 machine.

NJ's unemployment rate right now is 8.4% unemployment more than a point higher than the national UE. Although it's likely to drop gradually by 2015-2016  its more than likely NJ's unemployment rate will be higher than the national UE in 2015-2016 not a good talking point for Christie.

Haha! True. Smiley
But anyway, maybe the media wants a close race, so they don't want any scandals?

Ah, well as long as it decreases from now....if it went up any higher he would be doomed!

As a matter of fact, the Wall Street Journal has led on reporting on it. But the NY Times is trying to get in on the action.

More likely the media will leak it out at the most inopportune time for the Christie campaign should he be the nominee. That's how it's done.

Something tells me he could be the next Bill Clinton. He will couch himself perfectly between the center and the ideologues and run as a very charismatic and pragmatic candidate who tries to govern as a conservative, loses congresses and the legislative battles and then runs as a moderate and is popular but eventually succumbs to his corruptness.

This.

Some reporter(s) is going to try and make a name for themselves by taking down the Christie campaign.  Right now it's still too early and facts are still emerging.  You would have to be a moron as a reporter not to go after this story and drop a big sloppy wet turd on Christie during the primary.

It's a very bizarre story.

This looks good, but it won't happen =P
