I wasn't one of those that voted Nebraska as FS. With a few exceptions, my FS votes primarily go to Western and Northeastern states.

Because I'm white trash I got married there.  I like that they are more liberal with gambling and prostitution, but I'm no fan of deserts and Vegas, while kind of cool to look at is full of drunk tourists and the elderly.

If I could redraw the US map, I'd include it as part of California and split some other state up.

I'm not saying Vegas is the best city in the world; I can't see myself living here forever.

That said, it seems a lot of the hate comes from people who (A) have never even visited, and (B) only know about it from what they've seen on TV and film.

There's a lot more to Vegas than the Strip, which for the record I haven't even been to myself (except for work reasons) in several months.  Few locals do.
