The South American country of Zalemala is a major fossil fuel producer and an ally of the United States, but is plagued by crime, income inequality, poverty, and corruption. Disappointed at the elected right-wing government's failure to tackle any of Zalemala's problems, a coalition of the urban working-class, indigenous and Afro-Zalemalan minorities, and leftist opposition leaders/labor leaders begin major protests against the government in the capital city. At first these are peaceful, but soon they escalate into skirmishes between the protesters and pro-government militia.

How does Western media report the situation in Zalemala, and how do the Atlas posters cheering on the Venezuelan opposition in real life react to the Zalemalan protests?

German media could be quite favorable or at least neutral of this as they have not been hostile to Chavez and the MAS from the beginning.

French media talks about a possible feeble storm in Brittany and how French school students' bags are too heavy for their shoulders.

As television is concerned, German media will of course mainly talk about that it is Spring, Summer, Atumn or Winter and that the railway company is struggling under the weather conditions going along with that, during most a news broadcasts, and revolution somewhere in South America will only be a fifteen second snippet.

Mexican media has about 70 reports on more serious protest movements in México itself that happened over the last 24 hours. The news about Zalemalia is 100 words between the major spreads on Apatzingan (where the autodefensas remove the narco mayor by force)  and Culiacan (report from the latest pro-narco manifestation). This is, approximately, how they report on Venezuela, anyway.
