South Jersey would be a swing state. It could go either way locally or nationally.

I disagree. Nationally it could be a swing region but locally I see it as a pretty strong Republican area.

Are you sure phil?

North Jersey used to be the bastion of Jersey republicanism...(not as much anymore as NYCers have moved into these areas)...

but south jersey...with Camden (maybe Trenton-it fell in the 609 area code), burlington etc?

Thats where a ton of S. Jersey's population is, Mercer (if you count it) Camden, and Burlington...three of the most democratic counties in the state (%wise)...

Republican?

I don't think I can be as confident as you saying that.

If you look at it locally, the Republicans pretty much dominate.

Five out of the seven counties in my profile voted for John Kerry; six for Al Gore. When including Trenton, and keeping in mind that the most populated areas were bombarded with commercials coming in from Philly, I'd say that it's reasonably safe area for the Democratic presidential candidates.

Locally, I'm thinking 2 Rep 1 Dem, split Senate, first governor may very well be a Republican.

Yes, but alone. I would include the Trenton, but not Princeton area in it, and the southern 2/3's of Ocean county, which have nobody. I am from Monmouth county, which is the one on the coast that voted fore Gore in 2000 and Bush, jr. in 2004, and I can assure you, it would not fit with South Jersey.

Thank you for supporting freedom despite being aligned with the enemy.

Hey..I've seen wawas open in Morris County NJ.

Good for Wawa. The only good convienence store...ever.

WAWA rules.

Join PA.

Even Better...SE Pa will split join Northern DE (New Castle) south jersey in the new State of Franklin.

Wawas are fine...

Clearly, you have never been to a Sheetz, though.
