Yes of course, obviously.  Have we learned nothing from the loss of Saddam Hussein, Mubarak, Gaddafi?
I still say we're better off without those guys.

I'd rather take the guy out, and hope it will eventually lead to a better future, instead of sticking with someone we know is a devil.

But in all three of the aforementioned cases it has led to a worsening of the situation.

No, but the idea of a Sunni theocracy in Syria is even less appealing. Perhaps dividing the country in several parts based on ethnicity might be a good idea, in which case Assad ruling an Alawite state would be more tolerable.
