NJ has a large Jewish population. That'd cancel out any home state advantage, which I doubt would be any.

The average Jew is mostly Middle Eastern with a not insignificant amount of European blood. I describe myself as Middle Eastern, not as European, and I could never pass for Polish, Ukrainian, Austrian, or Russian, even though in the last thousands of years, my ancestors lived in those countries.
