I see myself as fairly pragmatic, but I definitely do not consider myself a moderate.

In the American context? No. In the worldwide context? Yes. I may even be a bit conservative, as I'm wary of nationalization other than healthcare and possibly energy resource. Also I'm personally uncomfortable with abortion, though obviously I support it being legal. And I don't support the legalization of any "hard" drug (like cocaine and such), though I do support weed legalization.

I do consider myself pragmatic though; I've got to be pragmatic as a lefty in Utah.

Relatively, I'm moderate. In the company of this forum, I'm a proud classist, sexist, nationalist, and racist reactionary.

Depends. I think I'm moderate in the sense that I'm somewhat in the middle of the political spectrum in most places (excluding the United States, of course), but not moderate in the sense it seems to be used a lot, in that I seek compromise. Policies should be pursued by a majority and subsequently judged. I see no intrinsic value in consensus seeking just for the sake of inclusion.

Nope. Although my PM score shows me as socially moderate, I still support same-sex marriages, gun control, am pro-choice, support animal rights, voting rights, immigration reform, banning the death penalty, single-payer health care and affirmative action. I'm mostly only against the legalization of marijuana, not all for complete individual self-govt and am against polygamy (which is why I seem so anti-Mormon). And my economic score pretty much cancels out any possibility of being moderate.

I do. But I also consider myself a pragmatist, and that is less about one's political views and more about how they approach the policymaking process. You can be a liberal, a moderate or a conservative and be a pragmatist. You can be a liberal, a moderate or a conservative and be an angry, obstructionist demagogue.

In the context of American politics, where people frequently are seen as "Democrats" or "Republicans", I have sometimes described myself as a "moderate Republican" or a "Republican on most issues", or terms to that effect. But I don't think I am; my economic stances are significantly right-of-center and my social stances are significantly left-of-center; when averaged, this creates a false image of moderateness. So, overall no, but in certain contexts (if I was, say, a Republican member of Congress I'd certainly be seen as one of, if not the, furthest-left) I might be seen as one.

against polygamy (which is why I seem so anti-Mormon)

The LDS church is against polygamy. So are 99% of Mormons.

Anyways, I think of myself as a moderate since (although I have mostly supported Democrats) I've supported a fair number of Republicans, Libertarians, and Greens.
