In front of Cardinal Joachim Meisner ...

Meisner is a arch-conservative Cardinal and the protest was against him, she told the media later.

Meisner said he will "pray for that disturbed woman, because she's one of those that needs the prayers most".

I tend to agree with him. Does anybody really know what Femen are supposedly fighting for today? What is more, picking a Christmas Mass in Cologne appears to be a rather easy target. Next time around try to pull the same stunt in a place where women are actually being oppressed.

Careful Tender, that sort of image can get you banned (in one to two months once the moderators have drafted a satisfactory warning letter). RIP TB

Femen has really become rather clownish.

Nah ... the nipples aren't even visible because of the "I AM GOD" on it.

Besides, this is a political feminist protest, so nipples would be appropriate in this case without being censored.

Hopefully she will be charged with an anti-Christian hate crime or something.

I posted a political cartoon that merely showed 'fumes' and showed absolutely no nudity, and I get threatened with a ban!

Blatant double standard for mods.

That's absurd. I don't know how Femen activists are like in Germany, but here in Spain they're not doing any favor to the pro-choice movement. Everyone (including myself, the kind of guy who should be supporting them no matter what) are poking fun at them... I think "Femen" can work in some countries without a clean democratic system (Ukraine, Tunisia, Lybia, Egypt), but in countries like Germany and Spain they should be more "inclusive", don't you think? I mean, we're taking their acts with humour... Was that really their purpose?

Just remembered that my history teacher attends Christmas Mass at this very cathedral every single year. His wife lives in Cologne, and he spends his summers/winter breaks with her.

Btw, Freedom Fighter move from this fine activist.  The Catholic Church should be shut down.

Since this is a German Cathedral, shouldn't that be "Ich bin Gott" or even "Sum Deus"?

I'm a German Catholic and wouldn't think to use Latin...

What's the point of doing this in Germany, rather than, I don't know, the Middle East? Where they actually oppress women. It's a bit "first world problems" in Germany.

Well it makes more sense to be using Latin than using English.

Catholic Mass isn't in Latin since a couple of decades (Vatican II?). The English proves than the target was the international medias, not the churchgoers.

Just the opposite, their actions in tunisia have hurt the feminist cause by associating them with extreme views.

No, because the message is for international consumption.

Exactly! Don't they know that they're hurting their own cause with these stunts?

Cardinal Meisner is a well-known sexist who wants women back in the kitchen, a hardline anti-abortionist with comparison to the Holocaust and an extreme homophobe.

Well, that's a little bit better then, but again, why not do it in a place that needs feminism/egalitarianism a lot more than say, Cologne, Germany?
