Congressional hearings continue to ask members of the Nixon administration if this is how Nixon really feels.

Richard Nixon died in 1994, so it would have no significant effects.

Depends on when it happens or what else is on the tapes.

I don't know if there would be a significant difference. It wouldn't help Republicans in the 1974 congressional elections or in the 1976 presidential election. It might increase the profile of Jewish Democrats.
