Religious extremism's disdain for peace and education is well-documented.
It was torched by students and its basically a theological school...

Yeah, al-Azhar University is basically the Middle Eastern Muslim equivalent of Liberty University. It's a Horrible School but that doesn't mean people should just burn the place down.
