Premier League is the most viewed soccer league world wide and Manchester United has the biggest fanbase in Asia where 60%+ of the worlds population lives, so I could see Wayne Rooney or Robin van Persie being the most famous.
Otherwise one from the Spanish national team: Iniesta, Xavi or David Villa. Probably Iniesta.

Yeah, it's probably one of those guys. I know who Messi and Renaldo are and I'm not much of a soccer fan (but I'm not a hater). I don't know any of the people you mentioned except for Rooney and that's only because Top Gear likes to make fun of him.
