Well, Adam, it looks like Sarah Kliff agrees with you. And she would know; since October she's been covering all things healthcare.gov for WashPo.

Sorry Sanchez
I was not talking about the Obamacare prediction. I was talking about his hackish fantasies about 2014.

Sorry Badgate.

A very American list...

1.  The GOP will take control of the Senate and gain a few seats in the House in the 2014 midterms.
2.  House Democrats and some centrist House Republicans will get together and pass legislation to delay Obamacare, the bill is DOA in the Senate.
3.  No Tea Party challengers upseat GOP Senate incumbents.
4.  Obama's approval ratings drop below 40%.
5.  Snowden is dead before 31 December 2014.

1. Scotland solidly rejects independence referendum by a rough 55:45 ratio

2. Republicans hold the House (and take McIntyre, Rahall, and Barrow's districts).

3. Republicans initially win parity in the Senate, primarily based on gains in the South.  VP Biden ensures Democrats at least retain (technical) control of the chamber.  Upon WV Sen. Joe Manchin's decision to follow his state and switch to the GOP in early 2015 (following AL Sen. Richard Shelby's example two decades earlier), they finally control the Senate outright for the first time since 2006.

4. Republicans gain control of the West Virginia House, Kentucky House, and the Arkansas governor's mansion.

5. Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush officially declare their presidential candidacies toward the end of the year.

6. The Blue Dog Coalition in the House is officially disbanded shortly after the 2014 midterm elections, ending twenty years of existence.  Survivors who are not already members join the New Democrat Coalition.

7. The New Zealand National Party under their leader, PM John Keys will win a third term, primarily because of a resurgent economy.  In all likelihood, I expect him to continue to rule the country until 2020.

8. The South Australian Liberals will win a victory on March 15 at least as large as that of their Western Australian counterparts a year earlier, handing them control over the South Australian Parliament.

*U.S. midterms are pretty much status quo.
*Scotland votes against independence.
*Military coup in Thailand leads to violent resistance in the north of the country.
*Brazil wins the World Cup.
*The FSA pretty much dies off as Al-Nusra becomes the major opponent of the Assad regime.

3. Coup but no violent resistance so far.
4. lolno
5. Moderate rebels are dead, but I picked the wrong Islamist group.
