Baseball, with college football a distant second.

Cricket. Which, for the record, is one of the most popular sports in the world.

How popular is cricket outside India? Is it a major spectator sport elsewhere? I've never really been able to tell.

A large proportion of the former Commonwealth. It's pretty much universally big across the entire Indian subcontinent.

Favorite sport? Looks like one sport on there and a bunch of extra curricular activities. Wink Just kidding. First choice, of course.

I played a little basketball and was terrible. I stopped playing when they stopped guarding me, lol. It takes skill and it's more technical than it looks.

I was better at baseball but found it boring. It's a lot of standing around with brief moments of heads-up terror.

The pigskin, though, that was my sport. Lot of fun with that - the swearing, the trash talk, throwing around the football, the stuff the coaches would say. It's also fun to wake up sore in places on your body where you didn't know you could be sore. Should have stayed with it!

It's not as big in the White Commonwealth as in the Subcontinent, but still pretty big (except Canada.)

Badminton, to play, as it's the only one I'm decent at.

Probably football for watching, I guess.

We get it Al. We're a bunch of ice sliding, broom sweeping, rock throwing elitists. But, a Scottish lassie is Britain's best shot at a gold medal in Sochi, so quit complaining.

I don't really have a favourite. I like watching both American football and baseball, especially the postseason.  I also really like hockey, but have a hard time getting into it. The NHL really hasn't hit the right spark. I have to say I certainly enjoyed watching hockey games during the Vancouver Olympics (albeit with a disappointing final game).

Cricket is a major spectator sport in Australia, South Africa and England outside of the subcontinent. Not so much anymore in New Zealand and the Carribean it seems. Is cricket pretty popular in Bangladesh? It seems to be but is soccer even more popular?

Heh. I certainly didn't see it that way.

I was in Whistler at the time watching the game in the mess hall of the Olympic security residence. It was quite the joyous experience. I then went to celebrate in the town square which was going crazy. Good times.

Bangladesh is just like the rest of India in that respect.
