I also think The World's End is really bad. Not the worst movie I've ever seen obviously, but it wasn't funny and it was long and boring and full of stupid action sequences. My girlfriend had never seen Hot Fuzz or Shaun of the Dead but I assured her these guys were hilarious and we'd love the movie. Huge waste of time.

Starship Troopers was the biggest disappointment I've ever seen on the big screen.  It really had nothing to do with the book except reusing a few character names.

That has nothing to do with the actual quality of the movie.

Of movies I actually attended on purpose , as an adult, in a movie theatre? The Two Towers win this, I think. That's raising the bar quite a bit, though, but I'm not sure how else to draw a line. (Of the two times I went to sneak previews, I walked out after twenty minutes the second time, some really stupid romcom whose name, cast, year, etc escape me. If that thing counts, why wouldn't some nonfunny childrens' movie I was dragged to? Crap flipped through on tv and watched for a couple of minutes? Badly acted grainy porn vids? Home movie footage of somebody's toddler?)

The measurement of determining the quality of Starship Troopers is asking yourself whether the satire in the movie is smart enough or too obvious. All other considerations are pretty much irrelevant.
