Just to make it crystal clear, I don't "cheat." That would be dishonest, and dishonesty and cowardice are two most deadly sins in my mind.

It all comes back to the two most primal emotions:  Fear and love.  Dishonesty and cowardice are both based in fear and themselves are not the problem.

And I will give you this Torie:  I don't think you're dishonest or cowardly.  But we're very different people and I just don't like you very much.  Obviously I shouldn't hold that against you and I'm always willing to change my opinion.

But you tend to bloviate a lot.  And sometimes you say really stupid things that you obviously aren't really thinking that much about because you don't remember saying them.  Of course the same can be said regarding myself.

How's that for honesty and bravery?

Ok, I believe you, but my question remains unanswered, or was this -

"Let's just say, that sex in the gay world, has a different "protocol" often than in much of the straight world. Men are wired differently than females in general. Who knew?"

just excessive hyperbole?  I ask because you've picked up a broad brush to paint with.

Why do I get the feeling that that woman only recently gained the right to marry?

Never was such an obvious lesbian so obvious.  I know this because my goal is to reincarnate as an upper middle aged lesbian in a committed, long term relationship.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and having folks dislike you for being who you are, just comes with the territory. No problem. The end.

Oh, and what I said was based on my personal anecdotal experience, and my partner's.  It was not intended to imply it was based on some data based scientific statistical study (maybe there are some out there, I don't know). It just seemed the way things are to me.

Snowguy, watch "Donny Darko". That's the film this shot is taken from.

Yeah, that's the actress Beth Grant, playing the role of "Kitty Farmer" in Donnie Darko.  She's just playing a role in a movie.  It's not how she dresses in real life.  Tongue

Am I the only one unamused by Snowguy's attempt at playing psychologist? I don't dislike you Snowguy, nor am I the sort of person who would approve of what you suggest Torie is doing. But you seem to be deriving pleasure from this in a way I find somewhat distasteful.

This is what you do in history class?  Bright future we have, isn't it.  Who's your history professor?  I may know him or her.

You're right Angus, history class is no time to be taking selfies. The cool kids know that Math class is the only appropriate time to take selfies. Smiley

Good to see you keeping the 'stache, Joe.  Is this for anything, or did you just feel really nostalgic one day?

Based on all the gay people I know, Torie is correct in that the rules are different in the gay world. That isn't to say that there aren't monogamous gay couples, just like there are many non-monogamous straight couples, but the norms are markedly different. I base this not only on the gay people I know but from what they told me of the dating scene, etc.

Also, to Snowguy, I think it's really not your place to pass judgment on someone else's process in finding their sexual identity. The idea that you have a right to is at the root of all the prejudice and bigotry that people face.

Anecdotal evidence, really Gustaf? Tongue
Maybe the reason is because we monogamous gays don't hang out at Grindr.
My expeirience in the field is that a large majority of open and out gays want a stable monogamous relationship just as much as the next guy.

Anyway, straight or gay, as long as both parts are ok with it, there's no reason to judge people for not being monogamous. If you don't hurt anyone you should of course do what makes you happy.

You have a very nice smile. Smiley

And yes, Clarko's smile is captivating. Also it's Donnie Darko, not Donny, Cath.

Exactly.

Also, this is a weird question.  Has anyone ever wondered if the character of "G.W." was named after George Washington?  "George Washington Nethercott" seems like a plausible name for someone from rural west Texas.
