Probably not.  At most, I could see the GOP giving authority expiring 20 January 2017.  They don't really want to give Obama a chance to take credit for something, and they certainly don't want to give a Democratic successor credit.  They'd have to be awfully certain of retaking the White House to give such authority more broadly.
