Scott, seriously. Listen to me. If you mix your Jim beam with Canada Dry, then the seltzer bubbly sh**t blocks out the awful aftertaste and you can pass right out. Seriously, dawg. Don't resort to prescriptions when the real solution to sleeping is right in front of you.

Ambien works quite well, actually, as long as I motivate myself to get to bed. Tongue

First off: I have no idea why or when I posted the above post, or if it was meant to be in this thread.

Second off: I'd recommend you only use fresh Canada Dry, as the flat stuff ain't as effective.

alcohol is a poor sleep aid.  high doses of alcohol naturally will lead to an easy sleep onset, but after 3-4 hours you'll wake up and may not be able to get back to sleep.  it is also a poor quality sleep.

Tweed is right, a night of drinking is one of the only things that can get me to wake up at 7 in the morning and not go back to sleep.

Also this thread is a wonderful advertisement for doing ambien. Sounds very fun.
