I might write a timeline tonight...but I need ideas...dystopian ideas get extra points. If you're familiar with my timelines then you know that my dystopian ones are the best ones.

How about a timeline where a Republican female and Democrat female because President and Vice President due to a tie in the EC..

I wanted to do a tl where the basic idea was at the end of a full termed President, the VP and Speaker of the House tie in the EC (or a third party spoiler makes a no-majority in the EC) and the VP suddenly dies, so the party needs a new nominee and the Speaker has a major scandal erupt, so he has to end his campaign for President. My idea was...


Full termed Pres= Pres. Clinton
VP= Al Gore
Speaker= a non-retiring Newt Gingrich
Possible 3rd Party spoiler= Fictional Governor of Michigan (one of my fictional characters that the tl focuses on)

but upon learning that Gingrich was extremely hated in the early 2000s, I scrapped it, instead going for a remake of GLPman's 2000 Timeline, which is.... Newt: 2000.

Since you already did the Cuban Missile Crisis turning into war, why not another World War III timeline? 

Here are a couple ideas: 

1. The Soviets follow through on their assumption that NATO's Able Archer exercise in '83 is a cover for a preemptive strike on them and decide to launch their own preemptive strike first.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Able_Archer_83
