Sponsor would be PJ, I believe. This is as complete a budget as I see, so we can start here.

Thanks, DC! Doin' my job and I've been known on occasion to talk to myself, so no biggie. Tongue I just don't answer myself, heh.

I can't imagine the Pacific is getting much revenue off of a 30% top REGIONAL rate, which is certainly doing some real damage in terms of who is staying in the Pacific.

If any region were a place where cutting taxes would be a much needed regional stimulus, this would be it.

Yeah, the sponsor is me. Tongue Here is the Pacific's last budget: https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Pacific_Budget_FY2013

This is still in progress, as I thought it would be better to discuss this in the council, but we are going to have to look at what area we want to reduce spending in.

Guys, I had a nice talk with Oakvale, and I think everything's going to be fine. I didn't know any of this was going down, so you have to understand that I got frustrated when it all of a sudden materialized and we have this terrible reputation when we haven't been part of the problem. Oak wants to get us back in control as soon as he can, but when he does we're going to have to keep the ball moving somehow.

I wouldn't mind working with the project manager or what have you going forward as someone who can vote, advise, etc. But just hang tight for now.

The senate will at least partially mandate what this will look like, apparently.

I know this isn't exactly relevant, given the theoretic parameters of the stimulus, but bump so we don't lose the thread when the time comes.

I'll go ahead and post this here so we can start talking, hopefully. We're going to get a truckload of money to spend assuming this goes through, so we can start to talk about how we want to spend it. We still have the rural housing bill on the floor, and we can certainly use it for that as well as the business start-up loan act.

My priority is the constitution, then the taxes. Then I assume this kicks in. But ideas, concerns, ways to spend money can be discussed at this point.

So Governor how are you planning to spend the stimulus?

I'd like to prioritize:

1) Business investment since it will result in return

2) Education: STEM and Physical Education

3) Infrastructure - we had several of these in the 8th thread, I believe, but decided they were too costly considering where we were prior to the stimulus. I would support a winter maintenance roads and highways bill.

Anything else I'm more than open too. The big thing we don't want are outlandish things, but if any spending is relevant, I'll support it. In fact, I think we're required to spend it, so as long as we're not searching for aliens and things like that, it would get priority.

I also want to gauge support for a merger and what that might look like if the Midwest shows interest.

Dem, a merger as in a new region made up of the Pacific and Midwest, or one where we share a legislative body and laws, but different elected officials, or something else?
