Great idea Cris! I must say, I thought we had more candidates for President and Senate... Still, I think it's safe to assume that in the Presidential level Senator Tyrion, Governor SirNick and SoIA Superique are already potential candidates, as there has been a lot of talk about them (I'm not so sure about potential DR or CMPA candidates).

Also, I'm quite surprised that the Midwest Senate race is the only one with the field virtually complete at this point, even if the last one was highly competitive and entertaining.

The Midwest field looks pretty set, but I'm interested to see who will enter the other races.

Also, I think it's pretty safe to call North Carolina Yankee a potential candidate. He's been in the Senate for like 4 years straight. I imagine he'll run again.

So I just wanted to say something about this whole mess in a chart:

Fed Pres candidates:

Pres.
VP

Feb '13
Cathcon
Spamage

June

Clarence (before heart attack)
Matt

(after)

Matt
Maxwell

October

(before Spamage's mom's health faultered)
Spamage
Limune

(after Spamage dropped out)
Duke
Matt

February '14

(Before Maxwell left)

Reaganfan
HuhHuh?

Maxwell
Huh??

(after he dropped out (now))

Reaganfan
HuhHuh?

After something bad happens, their opponent (or part of the ticket) in the Fed party drops out and their opponent comes close to the Presidency.

Bump! I was thinking about the past election and the inevitable similarities with 1968, and I was wondering if the Duke/Reaganfan duel might resemble past challenges against incumbents, like Reagan v. Ford or Bush v. Buchanan.

Also, any ideas on who else might run in the Pacific, Northeast and Mideast?

I'm considering a Mideast Senate run, but I'm waiting until after the regional elections are over to make a decision.

It is dismaying that Mike Naso is polling as high as he is.  I still remember how he beat the then-incumbent Mideast Sen. Nym90 back in 2005, and subsequently proved to the whole world how much of a disaster he was while in office.  So I can understand why he decided to take nearly a decade off hoping that those memories would fade before he could run again...

He probably is counting on those memories fading, since you are literally the only person who brought that up. Tongue

That will make for an interesting Federalist primary if both of you decide to run!

Updated.

Former Northeast Governor Snowstalker has announced that he will seek the election in the Senate for Mideast. Other candidate is the former Assemblyman JCL.
Potential candidates in Mideast are Assemblyman DC Al Fine and Attorney General Benconstine.

Cris Survey - Federalist Presidential Primary (January 10-13)

Former IDS Governor Reaganfan (Fed-OH) 46,15%
President Duke (Fed-SC) 38,46%
Undecided 11,54%
Others/NOTA 3,85%

Total voters = 38 (Only 26 are federalists)

A precisation: in the poll, I have indicated Duke as an Indipendent and not a Federalist (is my error). This fact can could change the result of the poll?

The trends (confronted with the poll of January 4-7)

President Duke (Fed-SC) + 6,86%
Former IDS Governor Reaganfan + 1,45%
Undecided - 1,66%
Others/NOTA - 6,65%
