Hefty decline especially YoY, driven mainly by declining oil imports and increasing exports of finished products.  Means a stronger dollar, GDP will be higher than initially expected. Murica.

There's also some, especially those close to oil industry who want to allow the US to start exporting oil (right now it can only go to Canada).  The US can exported finished or refined petroleum products and refiners are making and exporting as much as they can.  I think I'll start a new thread on whether oil exports should be legalized.

Yes, precisely:  the US got much, much poorer because of 'free' trade, and thus, in its new poverty: voila! competitive.

The 'bright' side of 30 years of plummeting living standards.
