not for nothing, I've been here long enough as it is, long past the point I ceased to feel I was exactly on the proper wavelength.  I have been speaking across gulfs, at cross-purposes, with all but a few of you.  looking back on it, Atlas best served my character development around ages 12-17, and I owe it many good times, plenty of knowledge, writing practice and related skills.


the rest of the story is obvious.  Moderator bureaucratic imperative is killing and will continue to kill the Forum, as it has now eliminated two of the most unique internet personalities I have ever come across (jmf and opebo), under perfectly avoidable circumstances, and now perhaps with Lewis as a Turing-esque causality.  I made the point in mibbit that all the Moderator man-hours that went into moving the mountain of the opebo-ban could have handled two years of simply editing or deleting his ostensibly offensive posts.


I'd say I admire those who want to stay and 'fight', but I believe you are wasting your time.  a culture that punishes those who tread the line of acceptability from time to time in favor of homogeneity has given up on its own evolution and is dying.
