Too early to tell.  If it turns out that he was involved in the cover up (or ordered it himself), than yes.  He might be done politically anyway though.

Of course he ordered it, but he may have avoided a paper trail.

How does being a terrifying politician, willing to shut down bridges and cause people to die for petty political reasons, make anyone a "laughing stock"? This doesn't make him funny, this makes him scary.

Well laughing stock candidates are those that are considered stupid or cranks ala Rick Perry, Mike Gravel, Dan Quayle. Even if Christie is proven to be a liar after the Bridge thing he wouldn't be a "laughing stock" he would be "disgraced"

Everyone does when they're considering a presidential run.

By "laughing stock" I mean someone who is no longer taken seriously, in this case, someone who is no longer taken seriously as a Presidential contender.

Not a laughing stock, but his credibility seems to be teetering on the edge.

A bit surprising he botched such an easy cover-up, and this whole Bridge Scandal makes me wonder what other skeletons are in his closet. That said, the bridge thing will blow over, but it's probably started the process of turning the press, and particularly the political press and the New York papers, against Christie.
