Unlike Kerry, John Edwards actually had a message. He just lacked political experience and the media ate him alive.

Who needs a message when you've got a plan?

Ah, but alas, it was a secret plan.

Am I the only one who thinks that Cheney crushed Edwards in the debate?

Not really.  I noticed several times throughout the debate when Cheney would totally avoid the question asked by the moderator.  And Im not talking about giving a fuzzy response.  Im talking about not answering the question at all.  For example, When asked about poverty he talked about "no child left behind."  Overall, I think it was close, but definitley not a "crushing" victory for Dick Cheney.  If you wanna' see a crushing victory look at any of the 3 presidential debates from 2004.   Wink

i think only the first debate was a crushing victory for Kerry.  The other two were pretty close.  The first debate almost cost Bush the election however.  I'll use the hurricanes as an excuse Smiley

After the first debate did you think Bush was going to lose entire election?  I figured  Kerry would make up some ground,  but I wasnt convinced the debates were going to push him over the top.

It was the momemt I was most worried, I don't see Kerry getting as close as he was without that first debate.

I thought that each of them won a debate and that one was a tie, if not a slight edge for Bush.   Bush really only lost the first one.

John Edwards is a failed candidate.  He failed to win the primary.  He failed to become vice president.  My opinion of Edwards is, he came on too strong too fast.  He should've stayed in the public office longer, made a bigger name for himself, and THEN attempt a run at higher office.

Edwards made a mistake, and now he's nowhere because of it.
