Like I said, terrible move on Cambodia with his claims that there were Viet Cong "hiding" there, but his Vietnam policy was a lot better than LBJ's. It was an unnecessary war and we made hundreds of thousands of troop evacuations all within Nixon's 1st term.

21,195 American troops died under Nixon's watch. I hardly think that this is something to celebrate.

HP (D) but only because of his sabatoging of the Paris Peace Accords on the eve of the 1968 Election, New Federalism and Watergate. His foreign policy in southeast Asia (with the exception of the awful Cambodia move) and his strong commitment to civil rights makes him a decent President.

Epic FF (D). A sane, moderate Republican, more liberal than that corporatist war criminal Obomber.

I don't know whether to be amused or disgusted that more Ds than Rs voted FF.

Edit:

his Vietnam policy was a lot better than LBJ's.

Nixon is the reason why Johnson couldn't end the war.

Do you happen to know why the agreement to end Vietnam was signed mere days before his second inauguration as opposed to much earlier, even in the election season itself?

Required reading for all of the Democrats in this thread who think Nixon was a good guy (minus Watergate, of course): https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=102162.0
