From what I gather, it looks like she's expected not to run with Dayton again this year.

Apparently the MN LG is a very weak office, and some are advocating eliminating it entirely.

I don't follow MN politics that much, but why is she leaving? Any local posters?

I would guess the fact that she's at retirement age and that the LG office is the most useless thing ever.

I'm beginning to speculate who Dayton will choose if Solon doesn't run, but I'm just hoping it's not Don Ness, because if he gets stolen from us for THAT job, I'm going to be pretty ticked...

I would abolish the LG office for good and have the Secretary of State be next in line to succeed the governor

It won't be Don Ness. The LG is ALWAYS a woman since it's a powerless position and thus ideal for tokenism. Look for some random female state legislator.
