Ken Buck: Yes, I am pro-life. While I understand a woman wants to be in control of her body — it’s certainly the feeling that I had when I was a cancer patient, I wanted to be in control of the decisions that were made concerning my body — there is another fundamental issue at stake. And that’s the life of the unborn child.

COH # out: Hick $1.05 million, Tancredo 109k, Gessler 114k, Brophy 46k. Both these races being thrown away for lack of strong candidates.

Udall still under fire from Republicans even after state regulators said his staff did nothing improper in pressuring an agency to revise its health-insurance cancellation figures.

Oh god, not Buck again.

Is there seriously no one better than the Republicans can put up?

I think either Jaime McMillan or Owen Hill could make it a race since their moderate-libertarian stances are pretty much in line with Colorado's political trends, but the chances of either of them winning the primary are slim.  Buck was up 45% in December's GOP poll.

As someone once said here, the CO GOP got caught with its pants down in the midst of demographic shifts.  Now it's an awkward coalition of Tancredo-ite anti-immigration Republicans and moderate pro-immigration reform Republicans, which doesn't help them at all for obvious reasons.

This. Candidate recycling on the R side saves this for Democrats.

Second Democrat enters CO-5 race.  I didn't bother doing the survey to read the article, but I got the candidate's name from the preview. Tongue

Excuse the lateness.  My computer was out for a few days and I'm probably going to have limited access for a little while longer.

Again.  There are winnable races for the GOP, including the statehouse, which is currently on shaky ground and possibly the senate seat.

But, they have nobody as usual and will be left shaking their heads and pointing fingers yet again in Nov.

I think Buck represents the Republicans perfectly.

Udall won't say whether he'll campaign with Obama, blames scheduling conflicts

I actually think Colorado is a state where Obama would still be an asset in spite of his low approval numbers.  The base there still loves him, AFAIK, and I doubt Udall has much to worry about anyway.

Udall turns down Rand Paul's invitation to join in the NSA lawsuit.  I guess Udall doesn't want to get on Obama's bad side.
